New Theatre Royal Portsmouth regret to announce that their 2020 Pantomime Cinderella has been postponed until Christmas 2021, due to the ongoing impact of Coronavirus.
The decision has been made in conjunction with the show’s producers Jordan Productions, having considered the options available with social distancing in the venue, financial risks and the operational practicalities of rehearsing and putting on the show.
New Theatre Royal said: “We are very disappointed not to be able to go ahead with Cinderella this year but already looking forward to welcoming Christmas audiences in 2021 for the best possible Pantomime experience. We promise it will be worth the wait!”
The 2021 dates for Cinderella will be announced in due course and all customers contacted directly by the Box Office to move their tickets over. Ticket prices shall remain the same.
Managing Director of Jordan Productions, Chris Jordan, said: “This was a tough decision to make and we are very sorry not to be bringing Cinderella to Portsmouth this year. Cinderella is a truly spectacular show and we did not feel able to do it justice under the current circumstances. We are committed to giving Portsmouth a truly magical Pantomime in 2021 and look forward to continuing to work with New Theatre Royal going forward.”
