Local Cancer Research UK volunteers wanted in Chichester!

Cancer Research UK are looking for a volunteer Assistant Treasurer, to support the existing Treasurer for the Chichester and Bognor Group of Friends for Cancer Research UK, with management of the local charity bank account.

Local volunteers provide a local touch point for Cancer Research UK in the local community and an Assistant Treasurer is essential for the running of the local charity account to continue in the Chichester and Bognor Regis area. The volunteer currently fulfilling this role is moving away.

Hayley Callacher, Local Fundraising Manager for Cancer Research UK said, “Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. Our ground breaking work has saved millions of lives worldwide and survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years. But there is still so much to and our ambition is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

We receive no government funding and so we rely on the support of the public. Our local volunteers are especially important to us. We’d love to hear from anyone who is interested in the Assistant Treasurer role for the Chichester area or anyone who is interested in volunteering to help grow supporter led fundraising activity in the area.”
