Goodwood House combines the glamour of a great English country house with the warmth of a family home. Housing one of the most significant private art collections in the country, the array of artefacts in The State Apartments continue to surprise and delight guests.
As featured in Mary Berry’s TV series, Country House Secrets, this spectacular 12,000-acre West Sussex estate remains a captivating part of England. Each room is steeped in history and contains masterpieces, ranging from paintings by Stubbs and Canaletto to commissioned Sèvres porcelains, which were the first depicting real birds. The glamour of the Yellow Drawing Room or novelty of the Egyptian Dining Room, inspired by Egyptian temples, are also firm favourites with visitors.
Head Chef, Mike Watts, runs a team of chefs at Goodwood House, creating unique dishes for weddings, banquets and balls. All of these celebrations incorporate Goodwood Home Farm produce, as part of Goodwood’s field to fork philosophy inspired by Susan, Duchess of Richmond, who was one of the Soil Association’s earliest members.
You can see The State Apartments restored to their full Regency splendour first-hand and taste our Goodwood produce as part of our luxury Afternoon Tea and Tour, at just £25 per person. Find out more at goodwood.com
